Special Accessories For Children
Some children may need additional accessories for their hearing aids, as follows:
- Smaller earhooks – this ensures a more comfortable and secure fit,
especially when playing.
- A battery compartment door secured with a lock – this protects against the
young child removing the battery without permission. This lock can be secured
with a small screwdriver that is available as an accessory.
- A BTE clip connects the hooks of the hearing aids to a younger child’s
clothing, helping to ensure each hearing aid is not lost.
- Audio input boots – enables the child to enjoy the use of an FM system at
home and in the classroom, as well as other assistive listening devices (ALDs).
